Purpose: Colquitt County Solid Waste is responsible for curbside solid waste collection in the unincorporated areas of Colquitt County. The rates for this service are $17.00 monthly with additional containers provided per request at a cost of $5.00. The rollout container is provided free of charge.
In 1994 the Enterprise fund was established to provide and pay for this service that is mandatory for all occupied residential dwellings. Payment may be made by:
- Bank Draft - Cash, Check, or Money Order - Prepayment may be made for any length of time
A drop box located at the basement entrance of the Courthouse Annex is provided for your convenience but is to be used only for payments to Colquitt County Solid Waste and the Tax Commissioner's office.
We currently serve 9,500 customers. Solid waste is sent to a transfer station located on Shade Murphy Road and then transported to a Valdosta Landfill as the County does not operate a Landfill. This office prides itself in helping to keep Colquitt County clean by providing quality service, and we appreciate your help in this most important endeavor.
